Short films and documentaries, with its short time span excel in novel ways of sharing feelings and thoughts, and also provide wider platforms of communication and empathy. ViBGYOR campus film festival portrayed a vivid image of burning issues around our daily life.
Film buffs believe that the medium, film has a lot to communicate, it has a lot to share; it has a beautiful language to paint human sufferings, joys, emotions etc. Film is a magical wand used by brilliant creators to magnetize the mankind.
ViBGYOR moving campus film fest is a curtain raiser of ViBGYOR film fest 2010 to be held at Thrissur next month. ViBGYOR conducted a full day programme at SIAS campus. It organized a platform for sharing what is heard and what remains unheard.
This film fest feasts our eyes as all the works were of an average time of ten minutes. It included short films, documentaries and music albums which got applauded worldwide. This film package covered serious subjects like environment issues, eco-friendly movements, social responsibility of human beings, activist journalism etc. ViBGYOR raises its voice for the marginalized, the underdeveloped majority of the world who has no voice in this world. It provokes humanity to be the voice for the voiceless.
Our hosts, Madhyamam Broadcasting Limited Institute students were an inseparable part of this grand venture. After the screening, students shared and exchanged their feelings, anxieties, expectations, wishes about the films and the world they are living.
SIAS- ViBGYOR campus film festival is a success of unity of a number of people who bears some anxieties. ViBGYOR team left the campus by lightening provocative thoughts in our minds about our present world.
