To create awareness on Short Films, documentaries, alternative and socially significant films, ViBGYOR Film Collective is organizing a two-day Film Workshop and Campus Film Contest at Thrissur for college students. Many well known filmmakers and media activists from Kerala will conduct the workshop, which will discuss the context and relevance of short films in the media dominated present day. Interested students from colleges in Kerala can participate in the workshop.
Workshop will be held on Nov 12 -13, 2010, at Thrissur.
Number of participants is limited to 30.
Course fee is Rs.100/-
Campus Film Contest will be held on Nov 18th, 2010, at Sahithya Akademi Hall at Thrissur. It is organized by ViBGYOR Film Collective in association with PG Center Thrissur. There will be cash prizes to the winners. Applications are invited from students or teachers of schools and colleges (professional, technical, regular and parallel) in Kerala. Short Fiction, Documentaries, Animation and Music videos produced during the past 3 years (2007-10), in campuses in Kerala, by students or teachers with the involvement of students are eligible for the contest.
The last date of submission is Nov.10.2010.
There is no registration fee for the contest.
All the interested students and teachers are invited to the ViBGYOR meeting on Oct.30th 10am held at the Chethana Media Institute, Palace Road, Thrissur.
